He has authored a number of papers in his areas of research interest, holds three U.S. patents on sensor technology, and is the coeditor of two of the three volumes of the Principles of Modern Radar book series. His research interests include all aspects of sensor technology development and intelligent systems. Dr. Adaptive Filter Estimation Window Infinite Impulse Response Filter Band Stop Filter Clutter Suppression These keywords were added by machine and not by the authors. This process is experimental and the keywords may be updated as the learning algorithm : Peter J. Brands, Arnold P. G. Hoeks, Robert S. Reneman.

The objective of this paper is to develop methods for enhanced clutter/interference suppression by redesigning the transmit pattern in the spatio-temporal domain to emphasize the target response and de-emphasize the clutter response. In this context, traditional adaptive transmitter weight design in the spatial domain to generate multiple spatial nulls is extended to both the spatio . His main interests are radar adaptive signal processing, radar clutter modelling, radar coherent detection, passive radar and multistatic radar, SAR processing and radio-localization systems. Dr. Lombardo's research has been reported in over publications in international technical journals and conferences and five book chapters.

This new text discusses various applications of space time adaptive processing, including applicatio. Home. Property Search. In radar systems, the ambiguity function of the applied illuminator signal essentially determines the detection capabilities. Zero Doppler interference (ZDI) or close targets returns can mask weak target reflections from higher distances. This is particularly the case for passive radars where the illuminator signal is not under the control of the radar : Tamás Pető, Rudolf Seller.

When adaptive gain is selected, the manual sea clutter and rain clutter controls are rendered inoperative, a fixed amount of differentiation is applied, and the gain is varied instantaneously and automatically according to the dictates of a suppression waveform derived from the signals present on the current or previous radial timebase (see.

The book provides a unique overview of the broad field of space-time processing and is divided in two parts: the first dealing with the classical adaptive suppression of airborne and spacebased radar clutter, and the second comprising of miscellaneous applications in other fields such as communications, underwater sound and the.

An adaptive spectral technique for ground clutter and noise suppression in weather radar echoes is presented. This technique detects weak echoes. The principle of adaptive clutter suppression Practical application: adaptive clutter filter for surveillance radar The following experiment conducted in the early 's (BUHRING & KLEMM [6]) is decribed briefly to il-lustrate the principle of adaptive clutter Size: 1MB.

Adaptive Gain. This is an effective way of providing automatic rain clutter suppression. Attention however is drawn to the practical limitations of the technique set out in Sections and Searching for Targets Beyond Precipitation. This third edition of Principles of Space-Time Adaptive Processing provides a detailed introduction to the fundamentals of space-time adaptive processing, with emphasis on clutter suppression in airborne or spacebased phased array radar, covering specifically the principles of airborne or spacebased MTI radar for detection of slow moving targets for use in the fields of earth.

This book presents a systematic introduction to airborne MTI (moving target indication) system design for use in the fields of earth observation, surveillance and reconnaissance, with particular regard to the suppression of clutter returns.
